Submitting a claim for benefit


In order to receive the benefit, the orphan must submit a claim for compensation to families of people killed in terrorist actions (BL/582).
The claim and the documents must be sent to the branch nearest your place of residence, in one of the following ways:

If the deceased person left a widow or a widower, and parents, each claimant must submit a separate claim.

Compensation claim submission deadline

  • Compensation claim submission deadlinethe claim for compensation must be submitted within a year of the day of the injury. A claim filed late, will be approved for retroactive period of 12 months since the date of submission. A claim not submitted in time may be prejudicial to your compensation rights.
  • The claim is subject to the approval of certifying authority of the Ministry of Defense. Only after the competent authority established that the injured person is recognized as a hostile actions casualty, the National Insurance will process your rights.
  • If your claim has not been approved by the competent authority, you are entitled to submit an appeal in writing to the Appeal Committee. The address for submitting an appeal is: Regional Court, Weizman St. 1, Tel-Aviv, 6423901. The Appeal Committee's decision is final.
